The Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. signed nondisclosure agreements with developers, including one with Microsoft for their Fairwater data center in Mount Pleasant — two months before the project was announced.
This state practice kept details secret for multi-billion-dollar proposals across Wisconsin.

Mount Pleasant approved revised Microsoft data center plans at 12023 Durand Ave, increasing total area to 5,878,080 sqft and projecting $103 million in tax revenue.
The proposal will be reviewed by the Village Council on Monday, Oct. 19 + construction may span up to 10 years.
