Ann Marie Metz & Friends - an evening of singer songwriters

About this event

Ann Marie Metz is a Milwaukee-based singer/songwriter who feels most at home on the highway. A piano player by training and a guitar player by curiosity, she weaves classic rock, folk, and blues into songs that explore the quiet transformations found along life’s journey. In 2024, she released her self-recorded debut EP, Runaway, which listeners described as “meditative” and “nostalgic.” The following year, she formed her band, The Fever Dreams, bringing a ’70s rock-forward sound to her original music at local Milwaukee venues. College best friends Kimberly, Melissa, and Jayna formed Violet Wilder in 2019 during a time of creativity, heartbreak, and major life changes, which fueled their early songwriting. Since then, they have developed a unique sound, mesmerizing audiences with sumptuous 3-part harmony while playing multiple instruments and blending indie, rock & roll, and folk genres. Sprawling instrumentals, worn melodies, evocative lyrics and a buttery yet brutal baritone — the music of Milwaukee singer-songwriter Ryan James “R.J.” Ziebarth flows patiently and curiously through the realms of indie folk, ambient minimalism, roots, and alternative rock. His sincere and darkly comedic style of storytelling is often anchored by complex character studies, inviting audiences to fully immerse themselves in worlds of his creation.
